May 19, 2024 all 3 MCFD12 Fire Commissioners resigned turning over to our county commissioners the task of appointing 2 new commissioners. The 2 appointed commissioners will then appoint a third commissioner to make whole our district’s commission. The long road to repair can now begin for an exhausted and frustrated community. Nicholas Jones has done as he promised. He was elected to help repair our Fire Department, stop the fraud and bring back public trust. Today Nick fell on the sword for this community in a deal brokered by County Commissioner Randy Netherland. We should all thank Nick for delivering on his mission and showing us what a public servant is.
