Fire Commission Appoints 3rd Commissioner To Seat #2

June 19, 2024 The Mason County District 12 Fire Commissioners interviewed 2 applicants for open commissioner seat #2 followed by an executive session. After deliberation the board unanimously appointed Matlock resident Steven Ingram. Chair Trina Young made a motion to open applications for a part time administrative position which was carried. Finally Assistant Chief Steve Wood outlined the challenges faced with getting the fire and EMS equipment functional due to a severe lack of maintenance and neglect.
